CEP Releases Resource on Extremism and Counter-Extremism in Bangladesh
The siege and murder of 20 people, including one American, at the Holey Artisan Bakery in Dhaka, Bangladesh, was but the latest in a growing number of attacks carried out by violent extremists in that country. Domestic Islamist terror groups with affiliations to ISIS and al-Qaeda in the Indian Subcontinent (AQIS) have stepped up attacks against secular writers and political activists, college professors, members of religious minorities, supporters of gay rights, and foreigners.
